Abstract
Based on the results of preliminary study at RSIA Paradise, it was obtained that postpartum data with occurrence of rupture perineum that were 40,5% that increase from previous year with the average of healing time on the 7th day until 10th day. Until now the way the care of the wound perineum just doing the treatment with soapsuds, drain the genitalia after BAB and BAK and purified from the front to back The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of cold compress to wound healing of rupture perineum on post partum.
The design of this study was quasi experimental with posttest only non equivalent control group. The sample in this study were 36 respondents with the divided on the experimental group that were 18 respondents and the control group were 18 respondents with purposive sampling technique.
The result of this study was Mann Whitney test obtained p value 0,043 <0,05 which means that there was effectiveness of cold compress to wound healing of rupture perineum on post partum.
The conclusion of this study, there was effectiveness of cold compress to wound healing of rupture perineum on post partum. It is suggested that this method is used in Paradise hospital Tanah Bumbu to improve the service in the management of wound healing of rupture perineum on post partum.
