Abstract

Based on data from the District Health Office Barito Kuala in 2016 obtained Mandastana Health Center immunization coverage levels are still high, namely lack of accessories for DPT / HB 1-3 (8.47%), BCG / Measles (2.54%) and Polio (13.60 ). The low efficacy of immunization in infants in the Work Area Health Center District Barito Kuala Mandastana 2017 that is caused by various factors, namely lack of awareness and lack of immunization requirements and access to immunization services are not accurate. Knowing the purpose of this study was motivated by the relationship of immunization in the working area of ​​the District Health Center Mandastana Barito Kuala in 2017.

This research uses analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population was all mothers  baby immunization in 0-12 months in the work area health center district mandastanabaritokuala. Sample some of polupasi who meet inclusion and exclusion criteria with purposive sampling numbered 73 people. Sampling by using a questionnaire interview. Statistical tests used were chi square test and Fisher's Exact test alternatives to the value of significance (α) = 0.1.

The study of 73 mother mothers motivation for immunization are well motivated as many as 37 people (50.7%) is very good motivation 4 people (5.4%) and the motivation is not good 32 people (43.8%) and the motivation is not either no (0%). There is a relationship of motivation to immunization in infants obtained p-value = 0.000 α = 0.1.

The health activities provided to increase the motivation of immunization through education, counseling can be performed by health care workers and informal education obtained from the mass media or electronic media.
