Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a condition of decreased hemoglobin levels below normal. Based on data obtained at the Puskesmas Perawatan  Simpang Empat registered there were 16 pregnant women who have anemia. The purpose of this study to determine the influence of consumption of ambon bananas  to anemia in trimester I pregnant women in health center Simpang Empat.

The design of this study was Pre Experimental with one group pretest and posttest. The sample in this study were 16 trimester I pregnant women by using total sampling.

The result of study was Wilcoxon test that obtained p value <0,05 (0,001) it means there was influence  of consumption of ambon banana to anemia in trimester I pregnant woman.

The conclusion of this study, there was influence  of consumption of ambon banana to anemia in trimester I pregnant women. It is recommended in pregnant woman to overcome anemia by consuming 2 pieces of ambon banana in a day.
