According to WHO 17% of 25 births per year are low birth weight infants (BBLR) and almost all occur in developing countries. To know the characteristics of mothers who have low birth weight babies (LBW) at Puskesmas Teluk Tiram.
Descriptive method, which is a research method undertaken with the main purpose to create a description or Descriptive about a situation objectively, this research is done by taking steps of data collection, classification, processing, or data analysis, make conclusions and reports.
Low birth weight babies at Teluk Tiram Banjarmasin Public Health Center in 2017 is 19 babies from 57 births, because in this study the only sample of mothers who have low birth weight babies then the number of mothers who have LBW as many as 19 babies or equal to 33.33%.
Low birth weight babies at Puskesmas Teluk Tiram Banjarmasin in 2017 that is as many as 19 babies from 219 births of 33.3%. The age of mothers who gave birth to low birth weight babies in Teluk Tiram Teluk Banjarmasin mostly included the safe age category (20-30 years) as many as 27 mothers or 47.4%. The distance of pregnant mothers who have LBW in Puskesmas Teluk Tiram Banjarmasin mostly belong to category of pregnancy distance not risky (<2 years and> 4 years) counted 34 mother mother tausebesare 59,7%. Paritasbu who have low birth weight babies at Teluk Tiram Puskesmas including the category of safe parity (2 - 3) as many as 32 mothers or equal to 56.1%.
