Dysmenorrhea is painful during menstruation, dysmenorrhea consists of a complex symptom of cramps is mainly felt in the lower abdominal area but can spread to the back or surface in the thigh, which sometimes causes the patient is helpless in holding back the pain Dysmenorrhea is one of the relaxation techniques can produce endorphin hormone, the hormone has a function as a natural sedative produced by the brain so as to cause a sense of comfort and increase endorphin levels in the body to reduce pain during contractions. This study aims to determine the effect of dysmenorrhea on the decrease of menstrual pain in girls aged 16-17 years. The research design is using Pra Experimental with One Group Pre Test Post Test. The sample in this study were 14 girls who experienced menstrual pain with Total Sampling technique. The result of the research using Wilcoxon test showed that p value <0,05 (0,002) means that there is influence of dysmenorrhea gymnastics on the decrease of menstrual pain in girls aged 16-17 years. The conclusion of this research is that there is influence of dysmenorrhea gymnastics on the decrease of menstrual pain in adolescent girls 16-17 years old. It is recommended that this dysmenorrhoeal gymnastics be used as SOP in midwifery care in young women especially to decrease the level of menstrual pain.
