Abstract
The Effect Of family Support and Self Efficacy is one factor which related with Obedient diet. The aim of this study to determine relationship between family support and self efficacy with Obedient diet in diabetic mellitus patients type 2 in the work area of Puskesmas Perawatan Pagatan.
This research uses Analytic method with cross sectional approach. The population is Diabetic Melitus patients. Accidental Sampling sampling technique, 66 respondents. Family Support, Self Efficacy and Diet Compliance questionnaire for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients.
The results of study obtained that, most (62.9%) of respondents had high Family Support, most (51%) of the Self Efficacy respondents were good and half (50%) of respondents were adherent to the diet. The results of the analysis test by using Spearman Rho, found that the Relationship between Family Support and Diet Compliance was (Ï = 0,000 <α = 0.05) and the Self Efficacy Relationship with Diet Compliance was (Ï = 0.018 <α = 0.05)
The conclusion of this study there is a relationship between family support and self-efficacy with dietary compliance and there is an effect of family support and self-efficacy with dietary compliance. The need for people with diabetes mellitus to adhere to prescribed dietary guidelines to achieve a healthy life.
