Abstract
Pre-operation is referred to as the first stage of perioperative treatment that starts when the patient enters the patient's reception room and ends when the patient is transferred to the operating table for surgery. The pre-operative phase begins when the decision to undergo surgery and ends when the patient is moved to the operating shirt. Success in overall operations depends largely on this phase (Smeltzer & Bare, 2010 dalam Marliang, 2017). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Al-Qur'an murottal therapy on reducing anxiety in cataract pre-op patients. This type of research is quantitative research, which uses a Quasi Experimental research design with a pre and post test control group design research design. the sample in this study was 30 respondents, 15 respondents in the intervention group with murottal al-quran therapy and 15 respondents in the control group with education. Bivariate analysis with the Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon test. The results of this study use the mann whitney and Wilcoxon test, and the P-value of 0.023 (<0.05) is found between the intervention group and the control group. The conclusion of this study is that there is the effect of Murottal Al-Qur'an Therapy on the Reduction of Anxiety in Cataract Pre op Patients in RSUD dr. H. Andi Abdurrahman Noor Tanah Bumbu. Murottal Al-Qur'an Therapy is more effective in reducing anxiety compared to other therapies so that it can be applied as a complementary therapy to reduce anxiety in cataract pre-op patients.
