Abstract
Dysmenorrheais a pain that accompanie menstruation so that it can cause daily work disruption. The number (2019) dysmenorrhea in the SMKN 2 Simpang Empat, on average more than 60% of women in each country experience dysmenorrhea. This study aims to determine the effect of giving carrot juice (Daucus Carota) to decrease the level of dysmenorrhea in teenager. The study design was Quasi Experiment Design, with one group pre test and post test. Sample was 30 samples with purposive samplingtechnique. The result of the study by using the wilcoxon test there were differences in pretest scores in teenager as many as 12 (40%) experienced severe dysmenorrhea, 15 (50%) experienced moderate pain, and 3 (10%) experienced mild dysmenorrhea. Postest score of 3 (10%) experienced severe pain dysmenorrhea, 8 (26,7%) experienced moderate pain dysmenorrhea, and 19 (63,3%) experienced mild dysmenorrhea pain, obtained p value 0.000 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study that there was an effect of giving carrot juice to decrease the level of dysmenorrhea Primary in Teenager. It was recommended for teenager to consume herbal drinks, one of which is carrot juice which is beneficial to reduce pain in dysmenorrhea
