Abstract
Neonatal health services must be started before the baby is born through health services provided to pregnant women. More than 50% of deaths occur in the neonatal period are in the first month of life. The cause of neonatal death in Indonesia, one of which is asphyxia neonatorum. Preeclampsia is one of the factors that cause asphyxia. The incidence of asphyxia neonatorum at the Hospital in 2019 as Ulin Banjarmasin 255 cases. The purpose of the study for the relationship case was to identify preeclampsia with asphyxia neonatorum in Ulin Province Hospital Banjarmasin 2019, this study used an analytical survey method using the Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 698 newborns at NICU Hospital Banjarmasin 2019. The samples in this study were 255 newborns using systematic sampling techniques. The results showed that infants (60.8%) 155 suffered asphyxia, 93 women gave birth (36.5%) with preeclampsia, 65 infants (69.9%) babies experienced shortness of breath due to maternal preeclampsia. The statistical test used was the Chi Square test. The relationship between the incidence of preeclampsia and neonatal asphyxia in the Ulin Banjarmasin Province Hospital obtained a value of Ï = 0,000 with α = 0.05 Ha, then accepted means that there is a relationship between the incidence of preeclampsia with neonatal asphyxia in the Ulin PROVINCE HOSPITAL Banjarmasin in 2019
