Abstract

Breast milk is the most appropriate nutrition to be given the newborns until the age of 6 months, because at that timethe baby can not digest food other than breast milk. One factor that makes a mother unable to breastfeed her baby exclusively is rest and tress. Based on data obtained ftom the Lasung Care Health Center in January to August 23, 2019 there were 181 post partum mothers and those who experience breastfeeding did not increase by 37 post partum mothers. This study aims to determine the effect of consuming banana heart stone banana (musa balbisiana colla) on increasing milk production in post partum mothers. The study design used the Quasy Experiment with the design of the pre test and post test whithout control. The sample in this study using the Wilcoxon test obtained p value <0,05 (0,003) which means that thete is an effect of consuming jelly banana heart stone (musa balbisiana colla) on increasing milk production in post partum mothers. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of consuming the jelly banana stone heart (musa balbisiana colla) on increase of breast milkpost partum mothers. In recommended that consumption of jelly banana heart stone (musa balbisiana colla) be used as an SOP in midwifery care for post partum mothers to increase milk production.
