Abstract
Anxiety is normal for humans, but for some individuals anxiety can get out of control. Feelings of anxiety felt by cancer patients when undergoing chemotherapy can have a negative impact on the treatment process and rehabilitation both medically and psychologically. Chemotherapy can have physiological and psychological effects.These effects are the effects of the course of cancer or side effects of chemotherapy.The other negative psychological effects are disorders of self-esteem, sexuality, and patient welfare such as anxiety.Nursing intervention in an effort to reduce the level of anxiety in a nonpharmacological manner is through the Spiritual Emotional Fredom Tehnique (SEFT) Therapy.The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of SEFT therapy on the level of anxiety of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RS Ulin Banjarmasin (Ulin Hospital).This research is a quantitative study using experimental research methods with pre and post test control groupf design.The samples in this study are 30 people, 15 people for the control group, and 15 people for the intervention group by random sampling.The results of the analysis of the test on the Wilcoxon group (O2-O4) are the level of anxiety after being given SEFT therapy compared between the control and intervention groups obtained Ï-value = (0.014) <α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between SEFT therapy on anxiety levels for chemotherapy patients..
